Is it COVID-19 safe? Treasure Quest Adventures are designed for individuals or small groups and involve virtual and real world clues that do not require large gatherings.
What time do Quests begin? All Quests start at 11am local time on their scheduled date. Clues will be distributed via email or text promptly at 11am.
Where does the quest start? We advise Questers to position themselves in the center of the Quest zone (usually the county where the Quest is held) to ensure they are as equi-distant as possible from the first round of possible physical locations. Some choose to follow this advice, some prefer to pick a different location and 'roll the dice' in hopes they will be closer to the first check points. Most lose this bet.
How many Questers are there? We do limit the number of Questers per event so as to have enough to maximize competition but also not so many as to overwhelm the Quest. The number varies.
Is a Quest ever cancelled? We reserve the right to cancel or postpone Quests due to overriding conditions, such as extreme weather or insufficient number of Questers. Full refunds will be offered for cancelled Quests.
What supplies do we need? A fully charged mobile device with internet, email and texting abilities. Transportation. Pencil and paper. Water. Your wits.
How long does the quest take? Better keep the afternoon open.
Will there be a winner for every Quest? Yes.
How does the Quest work? Once you reserve your spot, you’ll receive more information on how to access clues and follow the digital check points. All communication with Questers is done via the email and cell phone you use to register. Clues will get progressively more difficult. The first person to successfully navigate to the end of the Quest wins the cash prize!
How many clues are there and what are they like? The number of clues vary depending on the Quest and vary from puzzles, riddles, code breaking, real world physical clues, math and visual puzzles etc. No two quests are the same.
Does the Quest require strenuous physical activity? No. While the Quest does require being outdoors and movement, strenuous physical activity (feats of strength, endurance, etc.) are not a part of it. Be ready to move and walk, however.
Can we work as a team? Yes, but we ask each member of your team ages 18 and above to purchase separate tickets. Kids as part of families can participate free!
What if we can solve a clue remotely, do we need to go through the physical check point? Yes- all participants and team members must progress through the physical check points and provide selfies of all team members throughout the event. Teams may not "divide and conquer" by working the quest in sub-groups.
Is there really a cash prize? Yes- once a winner is certified the prize amount will be mailed to them as either cash or certified check- depending on their wishes.
